Anisha Palat

Anisha Palat is an art historian with a PhD from the University of Edinburgh. Her research explores human-animal relations, social hierarchies, and ecocritical approaches within South Asian art history and visual culture. She is currently developing her first monograph (forthcoming with Manchester University Press) based on her doctoral research.

Anisha is currently a Research Fellow, Tamil Nadu Council of Historical Research (2025-2026), where she is conducting research at the Tamil Nadu State Archives in India to explore colonial-era hunting practices.
