Current Research

British Art Network Bursary Awardee 2025-26: Tate and Paul Mellon Centre I secured £1,000 to carry out preliminary archival research in the Cambridge South Asia Archive on colonial-era hunting photography. I presented some preliminary findings at University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Annual Conference on South Asia, 2026, as part of the panel on Ecological Imaginaries.

Convenor, The Climate & Colonialism Reading Group, Paul Mellon Centre, London, 2023-2024

The Climate & Colonialism Reading Group is part of the multi-year Climate & Colonialism project led by Dr Sria Chatterjee at the Paul Mellon Centre. I led eight sessions of an interdisciplinary reading group exploring the intersection of climate and colonial histories through debates in art and visual culture.

The eight sessions were Thinking with: Water, Animals, Ice, Meat, Climate Coloniality, Extractivism, The Nutmeg’s Curse, Oil and the Graphic Novel
